I want to give a special thanks to everyone who helped with Senior Week and who made Senior Week a success. Mr. Sumner for your donation to the carnival. All the families that donated food and supplies for Senior Week, these are Kiana Williams, Ashton Durden, Patrick Newman, Michael Perez, Quentin Alsbrooks, Sharnae and Janae Johnson, and any other people that I have forgotten. Your generous gifts helped us to be able to do more. Thank you to Mr. Chester for helping to cook for the carnival. Mr. Rodriguez for cooking, helping with Dodgeball tournament and for just helping. Coach Leather and Coach P for helping with the Dodgeball tournament. Mrs. Lillard for helping with the Carnival. Mollie B. for allowing us to use the theatre for the talent show and video. All of the administrators for allowing us to have Senior Week. Mr. Walton and his staff for helping set up or finish cleaning up where we left off. Mrs. Jones for helping with the Senior Breakfast. All of the teachers for allowing me to steal your students right before testing week to participate in Senior Week. Mrs. Register and Mrs. Turner for entering all of the excuses so that the students could participate and keeping up with the truancy list.

Most of all I need to thank the Seniors for giving me a week that I will always remember. You all are a great group of kids. I am so pleased, honored and thankful that I had the pleasure of teaching most of you and for the others getting to know you. You all have made me laugh at one point or another during the school year. Thank you for that and thank you for the nice COLD water adventure. Good luck in your future endeavors and I hope that you will always remember Senior Week 2014 as well. In a few weeks, you will be leaving ARC, but you will always be a member of The Academy. Becoming an alumni of ARC places you in a very well respected group of individuals who have gone on to do great things in life. One such alumnus did something spectacular, she gave birth to me, LOL. Yeah, I know some of you are rolling your eyes. You all will be entering a new adventure in your life. Grab on to it and make the most of it. I love you all and am going to miss each and every one of you.

Valerie Lomax is really an exceptional human being. Not so very long ago I suffered setbacks with my health that threatened my ability to walk to and from school. Mrs. Lomax stepped in and graciously has been taking me home every afternoon. Thanks, Mrs. Lomax. You are wonderful!
